The Omaha News is a student run news program that happens on the campus of University of Nebraska at Omaha. Students work together to produce a LIVE Newscast that runs for a half hour by gathering interviews and producing stories. During my first year with The Omaha News, I was a reporter and was able to interview political candidates, Tony Vargas and Don Bacon. While in my second year, I was on a team of producers, where we put together the newscast. It has been a great opportunity to work on The Omaha Newscast this semester.
